As the 2010 Election year draws to close tonight, Santa Clara County faces some major glitches at its polling places. Printing smudges are preventing votes from being cast and scanned through the optical scanners reading thousands of mail-in ballots. Employees and volunteers have been processing each and every ballot with rubber erasers clearing smudge marks so that votes can be accurately read and tallied.

The United States Supreme Court begins hearing arguments on violent video games sold to minors. A possible California ban could punish retailers with a $1,000 fine for selling violent games to anyone under 18.
