The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is a law that gives you the right to access information from the federal government. It is often described as the law that keeps citizens in the know about their government. –

This week the Department of Justice announced a new website to keep the public aware of any Freedom of Information Act requests.

With this site, you can explore various reports, going back to the 2008 fiscal year, or you can browse the 10 most popular reports and the 10 most recent reports. There are also featured reports, which are generated to “highlight interesting FOIA statistics”, and At-a-glance reports which looks at data in an agency’s annual reports.
